Marvell Technology Inc. stock closed at $290.31

 on June 2, rising 32.30%, after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang described the semiconductor company as a potential next $1 trillion firm. The rally placed Marvell among the strongest large-cap technology movers of the session and pushed renewed attention toward companies supplying hardware for artificial intelligence data centers.

Marvell designs chips and networking products used in cloud computing, AI systems, enterprise networks, 5G infrastructure, and automotive applications. Investor attention has shifted toward its role in AI interconnects, custom application-specific integrated circuits, and optical connectivity products.

Huang said data center computing is increasingly distributed across large clusters, making fast connectivity necessary for AI workloads. He said Marvell is “essential” to that structure and told Murphy that Marvell could become the next trillion-dollar company.

The comments added momentum to a stock already tied closely to AI infrastructure spending. Marvell’s market value rose to about $249 billion after the rally, based on market data cited during the session. A move to a $1 trillion valuation would require the company’s equity value to increase several times from current levels.

AI Data Center Demand Drives Marvell Outlook

 fiscal first-quarter revenue of $2.4 billion, above analyst expectations, and forecast continued growth tied to its data center business. The company has said AI infrastructure demand remains one of the main drivers of its current revenue outlook.

The company now expects AI interconnect revenue to grow by more than 70% in fiscal 2027, up from a prior expectation of about 50%. That increase reflects stronger demand for networking products used in large AI clusters.

Optical networking is another area drawing attention. Large AI data centers require faster and more efficient data movement, and optical transceivers convert electrical signals into light to help move information over longer distances with fewer bottlenecks. Marvell supplies digital signal processors used inside these transceivers.

Analyst commentary has projected Marvell’s optical-networking revenue could grow by as much as 90% this year and next. The company has also expanded in this area through acquisitions, including Celestial AI for $3.25 billion and XConn for $540 million.

Marvell’s custom ASIC business remains another part of its AI exposure. These chips are designed for specific customer needs and are used by cloud and infrastructure companies seeking optimized performance for AI workloads.

Marvell’s sharp gain shows investor demand for AI infrastructure names beyond Nvidia. The company’s role in networking, custom chips, and optical data transfer has placed it among the firms being watched as cloud providers expand data center capacity for generative AI.

After the June 2 move, MRVL stock remains closely tied to expectations for AI capital spending, data center expansion, and the pace of adoption for optical connectivity. Investors are also tracking whether revenue growth can support the higher valuation after the latest rally.

XRP Enters a Rare Historical RSI Zone as Bulls and Bears Battle for Control 

According to on-chain analytics platform Cryptollica, XRP has slipped into one of its 

 in over a decade. The monthly Relative Strength Index (RSI) has dropped below 43, a level only seen three times in the past 13 years, specifically February 2017, March 2020, and June 2022.

DTCC’s Stellar Move Is Not XRP’s Exit — It May Be the Start of a Multi-Chain Financial System 

 between the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and the Stellar Development Foundation has sparked immediate debate in crypto circles, with some rushing to frame it as a shift toward “XLM over XRP” in institutional markets.

Realistically, this interpretation misses the bigger picture because DTCC’s decision to enable tokenized DTC-held assets on the Stellar network does not necessarily signal that XRP or the XRP Ledger are being pushed aside. 

Instead, analysts increasingly believe the move reflects the emergence of a broader multi-chain financial architecture where different blockchain networks serve different institutional functions. 

DTCC’s Blockchain Strategy Goes Beyond Stellar — Why XRP Still Matters 

According to OpenFind founder Tom, the market has become 

 on the May 27 Stellar announcement while overlooking the wider sequence of events surrounding DTCC’s blockchain strategy.

The timeline tells a more complete story because on May 4, DTCC launched a 

 that included Ripple participation. On May 12, DTCC adopted Chainlink’s CRE standards to support cross-chain interoperability. Then on May 27, DTCC formally announced support for tokenized asset issuance on Stellar.

Therefore,, these developments point less to exclusivity and more to interoperability across multiple blockchain environments.

In this context, Stellar’s role appears focused on issuing and representing tokenized assets on public rails. Ripple’s ecosystem, by contrast, is increasingly positioned around liquidity, settlement coordination, and institutional connectivity through its broader financial infrastructure stack.

Tom argues that XRP remains deeply connected to the broader institutional framework through Ripple’s expanding financial stack. Ripple’s acquisition of Hidden Road, now renamed as 

, has strengthened its position inside traditional market infrastructure. Hidden Road already connects to 

, including NSCC clearing participation and FICC Treasury netting access.

In other words, Stellar may help bring tokenized assets onto public blockchains, while Ripple’s infrastructure may help institutions move liquidity, manage collateral, and coordinate settlement behind the scenes.

DTCC–Stellar Shift Signals a Multi-Chain Future, Not an XRP Displacement 

Market analyst Jay Nisbett believes this is exactly why the 

 should not be viewed as bearish for XRP.

According to Nisbett, DTCC has no incentive to force institutions onto one blockchain network. Its core objective is interoperability, allowing banks, brokers, custodians, and asset managers to operate across whichever Layer 1 networks best suit their needs.

This model already exists in practice with stablecoins like USDC already circulating across different networks like Ethereum, Solana, Stellar, and other chains depending on use case and liquidity needs.

In this framework, public blockchains function as execution and data layers, while DTCC retains control over clearing, netting, and systemic risk management through its existing infrastructure.

Importantly, this does not signal a replacement of the traditional system, but a gradual integration of blockchain rails into it. Most institutions are still in the testing phase, evaluating scalability, compliance, and cross-chain coordination before deeper settlement shifts occur.

Seen this way, the DTCC–Stellar development is less a 

and more an early step toward a layered, multi-chain market structure where Stellar, XRP Ledger, Ethereum, Chainlink-enabled systems, and others each serve distinct institutional roles.

Based on this  trajectory, XRP is not being pushed aside, it remains part of the broader DTCC infrastructure being assembled.

As sanctions tighten and war costs rise, Russia appears to be adjusting its financial playbook in real time. 

According to market analyst Pumpius, recent signals from Moscow suggest more than a short-term liquidity response, they point to a

 from reliance on hard assets like gold and toward experimenting with blockchain-based settlement systems, including XRP-linked infrastructure.

Well, the numbers are drawing notable attention. For instance, the Bank of Russia reduced its gold holdings by around 900,000 ounces in the first four months of 2026, bringing total reserves down to roughly 73.9 million ounces, the lowest level since early 2022. 

For a country that previously accumulated gold as a core sanctions buffer, such a sharp decline is notable.

Gold has long served as Russia’s financial backstop, given that its a liquid, non-sovereign asset used to stabilize reserves when access to global capital markets is constrained. 

Selling it at this pace suggests increasing fiscal strain, likely driven by sustained military expenditure, sanctions pressure, and ongoing volatility in the ruble.

On the other side of the coin, a more significant development may be unfolding alongside the gold drawdown.

Even though gold reserves are being trimmed, the 

 has been expanding its range of crypto-linked instruments, including XRP indices and futures products. 

Russia’s XRP Oil Rail Push Signals a New Sanctions-Proof Financial Strategy 

The growing XRP exposure has fueled speculation that Russia is testing alternative financial rails that operate outside traditional Western banking channels.

The strategic logic is relatively clear because Russia continues to export large volumes of oil to key partners such as China and India, but the challenge lies not in demand, it’s in settlement. 

Traditional payment routes that rely on SWIFT, correspondent banking networks, and dollar clearing mechanisms remain vulnerable to sanctions, pressure and geopolitical restrictions.

 since unlike store-of-value assets such as Bitcoin, XRP is designed for fast cross-border liquidity and settlement efficiency. Transactions clear in seconds, costs are minimal, and transfers can be executed without depending on legacy banking intermediaries. 

For high-volume commodity trade, especially energy exports worth billions, speed and frictionless settlement are operational advantages rather than ideological considerations.

Seen in this context, Russia’s evolving approach more like a layered adjustment:

The oil trade adds further weight to the discussion. Global crude flows represent one of the largest and most continuous liquidity networks in the world. 

Even partial integration of blockchain-based settlement rails into this system would mark a meaningful shift in how cross-border energy payments are processed.

None of this suggests Russia is abandoning gold or fully committing to XRP. Nevertheless, it illustrates a 

 that sanctioned economies are increasingly exploring neutral settlement systems that cannot be easily frozen, blocked, or politically constrained.

Gold helped Russia absorb the first wave of financial pressure. Digital settlement infrastructure may be shaping up as its next experiment in financial resilience.
