Apart from ETH, zkSync will now accept any ERC-20 tokens, which include Tether, Binance Coin, 0x, Dai, and others. It eliminates the need to hold ETH to cover transaction fees, which some users found inconvenient. In the new version, zkSync also added the Block Explorer, which shows the details of all transactions, and multiple UX improvements.

ZkSync is a Layer 2 scaling rollup that offers high performance and low fees. Rollup is a solution that executes transactions outside Layer 1 and then sends transaction data back to the mainnet. On their website, zkSync promises to be the most user-centric of the three ZK rollups and announces it has reached a Visa scale with 2,000+ transactions per second.
