McLaren’s driver Daniel Ricciardo has struck a partnership with OKX exchange, his “trading platform of choice.” The deal will see the Australian F1 superstar join a global advertising campaign aimed at educating fans on cryptocurrency trading, as well as designing a racing helmet in collaboration with creators from underrepresented communities.
“The fan experience is going to be at the center of everything we do together,” Ricciardo said, adding that “in the world of crypto, the possibilities are endless.”
Ricciardo is set to make his first appearance as OKX ambassador as early as this weekend, at the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix. The partnership is expected to last throughout the 2022/2023 season.

McLaren itself has had a deal with the exchange for a few weeks now, with the other driver on the team, Lando Norris, exhibiting the OKX logo since early May, when the exchange became McLaren’s Official Primary Partner for the year.
OKX shares McLaren’s advertising space with Tezos, which secured a “multi-year technical partnership across Formula 1, IndyCar, and esports” last year. The racing team also launched an NFT collection called McLaren MSO LAB Genesis, joining a growing crowd of companies that seek to secure their slice of the metaverse.
