Otherside shared a sneak peek of the first experience that will be available in the Otherside metaverse, the latest project of the Bored Ape Yacht Club caretaker Yuga Labs. The creation of Otherside, Yuga announced today, will be entrusted to a UK-based metaverse tech company Improbable, the developer of a network of interoperable metaverses called M2.

Improbable confirmed they would be leveraging their existing digital architecture to integrate it with Otherside. In early previews of First Trip, the opening experience Otherside will support, an ape runs around an eerie land and catapults itself on a jump pad.

Aside from the teaser, Yuga Labs also published a roadmap of the gradual launch the company is planning for Otherside, which over time will include linking virtual land, a metaversal marketplace, and a string of mysterious-sounding events.

The partnership comes a little under two weeks after the launch of Otherside land NFTs smashed the records as eligible users raced to secure their plots, raking up $317m, burning 60k ETH in the process, and triggering exorbitant gas fees.
