This Friday, the Polygon team is heading to Amsterdam to announce a new product.

Polygon Ignite will be held at SkyLounge on April 22. All announced speakers are members of the Polygon team. The half-day schedule and free entry suggest that the purpose of the event is to announce a new product, with a mysterious “exclusive demo” taking center stage.

The program includes Polygon co-founders Anurag Arjun and Mihailo Bjelic, as well as representatives of modular blockchain building platform Polygon Edge and Polygon’s DeFi research arm.

Speculation regarding the upcoming announcement varies from PayPal integration to the announcement of a partnership with the GameFi project Dogira.

It’s equally possible that the “new product” will be related to Polygon’s recent pledge to go carbon-negative by the end of the year. The project said it would allocate $20 million for carbon offsets, community initiatives, and resources for ecosystem partners.

The event will also feature a presentation and demo of Polygon ID, a zero-knowledge identity service Polygon announced in March.
