The company’s previous Ethereum purchase occurred between July 14 and July 20, 2025. Both past and current acquisitions are part of SharpLink’s broader strategy of periodically replenishing its Ethereum holdings.

SharpLink Gaming remains the largest corporate holder of Ethereum, followed by Ether Machine—provided it executes its planned $1.5 billion investment in the asset.

Previously, SharpLink announced that Joseph Chalom, a former senior executive at BlackRock, had joined as its co-CEO. Joseph Lubin, Chairman of SharpLink Gaming and co-founder of Ethereum, said:

“Few executives in the world have had the kind of impact Joseph has had in unlocking institutional adoption of digital assets, having pioneered BlackRock’s strategic entry into the space. His decision to join SharpLink is a resounding validation of our ETH treasury strategy and vision for Ethereum to drive profound, transformative change across the global digital economy,”.

Following the announcement of the recent crypto asset acquisition, SharpLink Gaming’s stock price showed growth in premarket trading.
