Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, announced on Twitter that they will issue NFTs to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces as Russia goes ahead with the invasion.

Initially, Fedorov’s ministry planned to launch an airdrop for the crypto donors, but later decided to cancel it without an explanation. Instead, it was announced that Ukraine will raise money through the sale of NFTs. However, Fedorov did not provide any further details on the expected date of the sale.

The Ukrainian government has turned to digital assets in an attempt to raise funds for the war against Russia. So far, the country’s official cryptocurrency wallets have received $54m in tracked donations, according to Elliptic, a blockchain analytics company.
