HYPE Price Soars 3% as Hyperliquid Unveils Permissionless Prediction Markets

Hyperliquid (HYPE) price rises as Hyperliquid plans HIP-4 prediction markets with a 500,000 HYPE stake and a target of $77 breakout.

HYPE Price Soars 3% as Hyperliquid Unveils Permissionless Prediction Markets

Hyperliquid’s HYPE price traded at $62.09, up 2.23% in 24 hours, after the exchange outlined a plan to open prediction market deployment to outside builders.

Hyperliquid Plans Permissionless Prediction Markets

Hyperliquid said a future HIP-4 enhancement will allow anyone to deploy prediction markets on its decentralized exchange. The change would move new market listings beyond direct validator control and toward standardized on-chain templates.

HIP-4 introduced “outcome trading” on mainnet in May. At present, validators approve each prediction market before listing, but the planned update would let deployers create markets using approved formats.

Builders will need to stake 500,000 HYPE, worth about $30 million near current prices, before launching markets. Validators may slash that stake if they decide a market was poorly defined or settled incorrectly.

Deployers can earn up to 50% of trading fee revenue from their markets. Reported preliminary terms also say the staked HYPE will remain locked for six months, with all outstanding markets settled before withdrawal.

HYPE Demand Tied to 500,000 Token Stake

The staking rule links prediction market growth directly to HYPE demand. Each deployer would remove 500,000 HYPE from active circulation while their stake remains locked.

HYPE has a circulating supply of roughly 253 million tokens. A wider rollout of deployers could therefore add a new token utility layer if builders commit capital to launch markets.

Hyperliquid said permissionless markets will launch on testnet before mainnet. Validator-run markets will continue, though the team said they should be rare and “ideally” remain below 10 per year.

The model differs from platforms where the company defines every market from the top down. Hyperliquid’s design places responsibility on deployers, while validators retain the power to punish poor settlement or unclear market terms.

Prediction Market Competition Builds

The planned upgrade puts Hyperliquid deeper into a market led by Polymarket and Kalshi. Centralized platforms, including Coinbase and Robinhood, are also expanding into event contracts.

Prediction markets recorded about $50 billion in wagers during June, helped by strong World Cup activity. July volume has already reached about $37 billion, based on current market figures.

Kalshi led June activity with about $33 billion, equal to roughly 66% market share. Hyperliquid recorded about $176 million, leaving a wide gap against the largest platforms.

The main test for Hyperliquid will be whether builders stake eight-figure amounts to deploy markets. Strong participation could increase activity, while high entry costs may limit adoption to larger teams.

HYPE Price Holds Bullish Chart Structure

The HYPE price chart shows the token holding a wider bullish structure after trading near $59.35 on the 3-day KuCoin chart. Price remains below the recent swing high near $77.15.

The main support area sits between $46.60 and $39.88, where the chart marks a bullish order block and fair value gap. A bounce from that region would keep the current upside setup active.

The first upside target remains the former high near $77.15. A clean breakout above that level could open a move toward $95, followed by $110 and $130.

The extended chart projection points toward $150 if momentum strengthens into 2027. However, a drop below $39.88 would weaken the setup, while a deeper move below $34.12 could expose $27.33.
