XRP Wallets Reach Record 8.24 Million While Price Falls 17% in One Month

Key takeaways

  • XRP Ledger reaches record 8.24 million funded wallets
  • XRP loses 17% despite accelerating wallet creation
  • Whale deposits and weaker ETF demand pressure prices

XRP has reached a new milestone in network adoption, with the XRP Ledger recording 8.24 million non-empty wallets even as the cryptocurrency lost 17.21% of its value over the past month.

According to on-chain analytics firm Santiment, the network recently added 4,772 new wallets in a single day, its fifth-largest daily increase since March.

XRP Ledger Reaches 8.24 Million Wallets Despite Price Decline

Santiment's latest data shows that the total number of non-empty XRP wallets has continued rising through several months of market volatility.

The recent addition of 4,772 new addresses represents a notable acceleration in network growth, particularly as XRP struggles to recover its September price levels.

The trend resembles an earlier period when XRP added 4,300 wallets within 24 hours while large holders shifted tokens away from exchanges.

However, wallet creation alone does not establish whether investors are accumulating substantial amounts of XRP.

One person can control multiple addresses, while cryptocurrency exchanges and other institutions often maintain numerous operational wallets.

Earlier XRP whale wallet growth showed how participation can increase among large holders, but a growing number of funded addresses does not automatically create sustained buying pressure.

XRP Whale Deposits Rise While ETF Demand Weakens

The disparity between wallet growth and price performance comes as large holders continue transferring XRP to centralized exchanges.

Recent analysis identified approximately $112.4 million worth of XRP moving from whale wallets to Binance, reportedly the highest such deposit activity in seven months.

Coinpaper previously examined 1.67 billion XRP flowing into Binance over a rolling 30-day period, highlighting the potential selling pressure associated with large exchange transfers.

Deposits do not confirm that holders have sold their tokens, but they can increase the amount of XRP readily available for trading.

Institutional demand has also weakened compared with September.

US spot XRP ETFs attracted approximately $4.25 million in net inflows during the latest reporting week, following $1.84 million in withdrawals the previous week.

That modest rebound contrasts with the $75.6 million recorded during the week ending September 25.

The slowdown follows an earlier period when XRP ETF inflows weakened despite cumulative investments reaching approximately $1.8 billion.

More recently, a separate XRP ETF loss estimate suggested that falling token prices had left fund investors with substantial unrealized losses.

XRP Price Prediction: Can Wallet Growth Support $1.50?

XRP's immediate outlook depends on whether the latest increase in blockchain participation translates into stronger market demand.

Santiment identified $1.40 as an important resistance level, suggesting that sustained trading above it alongside roughly 4,000 or more new wallets per day could strengthen the case for a recovery toward $1.50.

The bearish scenario centers on $1.30.

A decline below that level, particularly if daily wallet creation falls under approximately 3,000, would weaken the short-term adoption signal.

The current setup resembles earlier periods when XRP price rebounds struggled to sustain momentum despite signs of renewed investor interest.
