Bitcoin Price Prediction: Can the Rally Reach $90K?

Bitcoin is holding above $85K after a sharp breakout, with nearly $1B flowing into spot ETFs. Here are the levels BTC needs to clear for $90K.

Bitcoin Price Prediction: Can the Rally Reach $90K?

BTC climbed above $87,000 during the latest rally before cooling toward the mid-$85,000s. The move was supported by stronger institutional demand and a sharp reversal in U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF flows. Analysts now see the $88,000–$90,000 zone as the next major resistance area, with support forming around $82,000.

The question is whether fresh demand can keep pace after such a fast move.

ETF Demand Is Back

The strongest catalyst has come from spot Bitcoin ETFs.

U.S. funds attracted roughly $999 million in net inflows on Sept. 21, one of their strongest sessions in recent months. BlackRock’s IBIT brought in $381.4 million, ARK 21Shares added $289.1 million and Fidelity’s FBTC took in $238.8 million.

That builds on the recent return of positive Bitcoin ETF flows, which helped BTC recover from below $76,000.

Corporate demand has also remained visible. Strategy recently added another 950 BTC, taking its holdings to 846,000 Bitcoin.

$90K Is the Next Real Test

The technical picture has improved sharply.

Bitcoin first needed to reclaim the $82,000-$83,000 region, which had capped the previous rebound. That breakout has now happened.

The next resistance sits around $88,000-$90,000, with some analysts highlighting roughly $89,500 as the key level where sellers could become more aggressive.

What Could Stop the Rally?

The biggest short-term risk is leverage.

Futures open interest has risen by roughly $2 billion, while the breakout also triggered hundreds of millions of dollars in short liquidations. That can accelerate upside, but it also makes BTC more vulnerable if spot buying weakens.

The broader setup is still stronger than it was earlier this month, when Bitcoin was struggling below $80,000 and traders were asking whether $90,000 was even back in reach.
