US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted about $338 million in net inflows on Aug. 24, with BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust accounting for the majority of new capital.
IBIT brought in roughly $209 million, or 62% of the day's total. The result reinforced BlackRock's lead in the US spot Bitcoin ETF market as BTC remained above $80,000.
ETF Demand Supports Bitcoin
The latest inflow follows several strong sessions for institutional demand. Bitcoin ETFs took in $517.2 million on Aug. 19 and $606.3 million on Aug. 20, helping weekly inflows approach $1.9 billion as BTC extended its recent breakout.
BlackRock also led an earlier ETF rebound, underscoring IBIT's growing role in institutional Bitcoin exposure.
Spot ETFs allow investors to gain Bitcoin exposure through traditional brokerage accounts without directly holding the asset. The differences between direct ownership and exchange-traded products are covered in this ETF guide.
Ethereum Funds Also See Inflows
Ethereum ETFs added another $116 million on Aug. 24, extending their positive streak to six sessions. BlackRock's ETHA attracted $90.92 million, representing about 78% of the day's total ETH ETF inflows.
The move follows stronger Ethereum fund demand earlier in the month, including $220.77 million of inflows on Aug. 20 as ETH traded above $2,400. That rally also helped lift assets across US-listed Ethereum products, alongside a broader ETH surge.
BlackRock's dominance across both products suggests institutional demand remains concentrated in the largest issuers. As Bitcoin holds above $80,000, continued ETF inflows will remain an important indicator of whether the current rally can sustain momentum.
