Arena-Z Emerges from League of Kingdoms with Franchise Model and Token Overhaul

Arena-Z unveils a multi-title Web3 gaming franchise with cross-game identity, A2Z token launch, and a $20M fund to fuel player-driven ecosystem growth.

League of Kingdoms, a pioneering blockchain MMORTS, has officially rebranded as Arena-Z, unveiling a multi-title gaming franchise built around interoperability and player ownership. Alongside the rebrand, the company launched a new token (A2Z), introduced two upcoming game titles, and established a $20 million ecosystem fund.

Expanding into a Web3-Native Game Franchise

With its new identity, Arena-Z transitions from a single-title platform into a franchise model where player progress and identity carry across multiple games. The upcoming releases—LOK Chronicle and LOK Hunters—are already in beta and expected to join the flagship title by the end of Q3 2025.

This integrated ecosystem marks a shift from isolated Web3 games toward a more connected gameplay experience, where achievements in one title influence progression in another. Players will maintain consistent identity, assets, and progression across the franchise.

$20M Ecosystem Grant Fund to Drive Growth

To catalyze platform adoption and support game developers, Arena-Z has launched a $20 million Ecosystem Grant Program. The fund draws from staking and reserve allocations, with early ecosystem partners including XOCIETY, Pebble City, and The New Order (TNO).

This initiative aligns with Arena-Z’s vision to build a cohesive game economy rooted in player governance, reward loops, and community contribution.

Token Migration: LOKA Becomes A2Z

In a significant token update, Arena-Z will migrate its native token LOKA to A2Z, using a 1:20 exchange ratio. The A2Z token preserves existing utilities while unlocking new features:

  • Cross-title rewards and asset synchronization

  • Player identity and reputation management

  • Ecosystem-level governance participation

Binance and HTX are confirmed supporters of the migration, with a user swap portal going live on July 28 at 03:00 UTC.

Infrastructure and Institutional Backing

Arena-Z is positioned as the first gaming-dedicated Layer 2 network on the OP Superchain, and the only Korea-based gaming platform listed on both Binance and Coinbase. A new strategic partnership with NHN, a major Korean game developer, bolsters institutional confidence in Arena-Z’s global expansion.

Introducing AZZY: The Gamified Digital Companion

A unique feature of the rebrand is AZZY, a digital companion that visually evolves based on player activity across the Arena-Z ecosystem. AZZY is designed to gamify user engagement and will be available in a starter version at launch through the Arena-Z website.

From MMORTS to Metaverse: The Evolution of Arena-Z

Originally launched in 2020, League of Kingdoms was among the earliest blockchain games to gain global traction, reaching over 150,000 daily active users across 210+ countries. Arena-Z continues this legacy by expanding into a robust, multi-title infrastructure backed by leading crypto investors including a16z crypto, Hashed, YZi Labs, Peak XV Partners, and YGG.

With its franchise model, infrastructure integration, and refreshed tokenomics, Arena-Z is setting a precedent for the next generation of Web3-native gaming platforms.
