Kite AI Surpasses 4 Million Users and 546 Million Agent Calls on Testnet v1

Kite AI's testnet sees strong early adoption with 546M agent calls and 4M users, highlighting demand for scalable AI-native blockchain infrastructure.

Early Traction Underscores Growing Demand for AI-Native Blockchain Infrastructure

Kite AI, the custom Layer 1 blockchain designed for AI applications, has released usage metrics for its inaugural testnet phase, revealing robust early adoption. Since launching Testnet v1 Aero in February, the network has processed over 546 million agent calls—averaging 11.4 million per day—and onboarded nearly 4 million users.

The testnet has executed 32 million transactions and attracted 2.4 million unique AI users, validating the platform’s focus on supporting developers, model builders, and data providers. Designed as a live development environment, Testnet v1 has served as a proving ground for Kite AI’s architecture, stress-testing its performance and developer tools in real-world conditions.

“Testnet v1 has provided valuable insight into real-world usage patterns, architectural stress points, and developers’ needs when building on-chain AI systems,” said Chi Zhang, Co-founder and CEO of Kite AI. “The upcoming release of Testnet v2 will reflect those learnings as we continue to iterate and scale the platform.”

From Feedback to Functionality: Preparing for Testnet v2

Community engagement played a critical role in improving system performance and resolving architectural bottlenecks during Testnet v1. These improvements have made the network more stable, scalable, and ready for its next phase. The forthcoming Testnet v2 will incorporate additional features based on developer input, with a continued focus on performance and user experience.

Novel Consensus for the AI Economy

At the heart of Kite AI’s infrastructure is Proof of Attributed Intelligence (Proof of AI), a proprietary consensus mechanism that ensures contributors—whether providing agents, models, or data—receive transparent attribution and fair rewards. This mechanism supports a collaborative ecosystem where developers and enterprises alike can build, own, and monetize AI applications.

Growing Developer Ecosystem

Kite AI’s testnet has become a hub for AI-native innovation, powering use cases such as:

  • Decentralized AI co-pilots

  • Autonomous financial agents

  • On-chain data marketplaces

This ecosystem reflects a broader movement toward programmable AI infrastructure, with Kite AI positioning itself as a foundational layer for this emerging paradigm.
