Nvidia, Marvell Technology and AMD all moved higher Tuesday as investors continued piling into semiconductor stocks tied to the AI infrastructure boom.
Nvidia extended its record run after closing Monday at $239.11, valuing the company at roughly $5.77 trillion and leaving it less than 5% away from a $6 trillion market capitalization. The latest record high reinforces Nvidia’s position at the center of the current AI trade.
But Tuesday’s gains were not limited to NVDA. Marvell shares jumped about 6%, while AMD also moved higher as investors reacted to improving growth expectations across custom AI chips, CPUs, GPUs and data-center networking.
Marvell Raises Its AI Growth Outlook
Marvell has become one of the more aggressive ways to trade the expansion of AI infrastructure beyond Nvidia.
The company recently raised its revenue outlook for both fiscal 2027 and fiscal 2028, saying AI-related bookings remain “exceptionally robust.” Second-quarter revenue reached a record $2.74 billion, up 37% year over year, while Data Center revenue increased 46%.
Management expects fiscal 2027 revenue of roughly $12 billion and fiscal 2028 revenue of about $18 billion, helped by stronger connectivity demand and a sharp acceleration in custom silicon.
That growth story has already attracted a major endorsement. In June, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang called Marvell a potential future $1 trillion company, helping trigger a 32% one-day rally in MRVL stock.
| Company | Current catalyst | AI exposure |
|---|---|---|
| Nvidia | Record stock price, nearing $6T | GPUs, networking |
| Marvell | Higher FY2027–28 outlook | Custom chips, connectivity |
| AMD | 2027 supply expansion | GPUs, CPUs |
AMD Is Preparing for More AI Demand
AMD is also preparing for a larger market.
CEO Lisa Su said Tuesday that the company plans to substantially increase chip supply in 2027, after already expanding capacity throughout 2026. She is meeting major manufacturing and memory suppliers in Taiwan and South Korea to secure enough wafer and memory capacity for expected demand.
AMD’s rise above a $1 trillion valuation in September already showed how the AI chip rally has broadened beyond Nvidia.
The AI chip market now includes several distinct winners: Nvidia dominates accelerators, AMD is expanding GPU and CPU supply, while Marvell is gaining exposure through custom silicon and networking.
