Bitcoin Price Prediction: What Happens Next?

Bitcoin has retreated from $87K toward $84K. Here are the levels that could confirm a rebound or signal a deeper pullback.

Bitcoin Price Prediction: What Happens Next?

Bitcoin’s rebound has hit a setback. After reaching roughly $87,300 during the past week, BTC traded near $83,700 during the September 24 check. The move raises a more immediate question than whether Bitcoin can reach $90,000: can it hold the ground it recently regained?

There is still evidence of demand. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs drew $346.9 million on September 23, according to Farside Investors’ flow data. That was their fifth consecutive session of net inflows, although the daily amount fell from $714.7 million on September 22. September 24 flows had not yet been reported in the data checked for this article.

ETF buying can support the market, but it cannot set the price on its own. Bitcoin fell while the inflow streak continued, showing that selling elsewhere was strong enough to outweigh it.

What Would Confirm a Rebound?

The first step is for BTC to regain $85,000–$86,000, the area it traded through before its latest decline. Holding there would put the recent high near $87,300 back in view.

A sustained move above that high would strengthen the case for another test of $90,000. A brief spike followed by another reversal would be a weaker signal: buyers would have reached resistance without showing they could hold it. Coinpaper’s earlier $90,000 breakout scenario remains conditional on that recovery.

What If $83,000 Fails?

CoinGecko recorded a 24-hour low near $82,940 during the latest check. If BTC repeatedly trades below that area, the rebound would lose another support level. $80,000 would then become the next broad psychological level to watch, followed by the wider selloff’s low near $76,200. These are scenarios, not guaranteed stopping points.

If Bitcoin…The next test is…
Reclaims $85K–$86KWhether it can retest $87.3K
Holds above $87.3KWhether buyers can challenge $90K
Loses roughly $83KWhether demand returns near $80K

The pullback does not settle whether Bitcoin’s 2026 rally is over. BTC rebounded sharply from below $77,000 last week, a move that shaped the broader 2026 price outlook. For now, the clearest signal is price: recovering $87,300 would revive the breakout case, while losing $83,000 would shift attention toward a deeper retracement.
