Salesforce Stock Jumps 14% After Q2 Earnings Beat as Agentforce AI Revenue Surges

Salesforce shares jumped about 14% in extended trading Wednesday after the company reported stronger-than-expected fiscal second-quarter results and raised its full-year outlook.

Revenue rose 11% year over year to $11.35 billion, slightly above Wall Street expectations of about $11.32 billion. Adjusted earnings reached $5.90 per share, versus an estimate of roughly $3.27.

Net income climbed to $3.53 billion, or $4.29 per diluted share, helped by around $2.6 billion in investment gains, including gains linked to Anthropic. Full results are available in Salesforce's earnings release.

Agentforce growth strengthens the AI story

The main catalyst was Salesforce's AI business. Annual recurring revenue from Agentforce and Data 360 reached nearly $3.9 billion, up more than 210% year over year, while Agentforce ARR alone exceeded $1.5 billion, rising more than 240%.

Current remaining performance obligations reached $33.5 billion, up 14%.

The results strengthen the broader investment case around AI stocks as markets look for evidence that heavy AI spending is producing meaningful revenue. Similar expectations have shaped investor attention around major Nvidia earnings.

Salesforce is also expanding its Anthropic partnership through Claudeforce, integrating Claude more deeply into its enterprise applications.

Guidance moves higher

Salesforce raised its fiscal 2027 revenue forecast to $46.1 billion–$46.4 billion, from $45.9 billion–$46.2 billion previously. Third-quarter revenue is expected at $11.42 billion–$11.50 billion.

The outlook includes contributions from Informatica and planned acquisitions, while Informatica contributed about $456 million to Q2 revenue.

The rally provides relief after a weak year for CRM shares and comes amid broader volatility in the stock market.

The key question now is whether rapid Agentforce adoption can translate into sustained organic growth. Q2 pushed that argument in Salesforce's favor, but investors will look for further confirmation in coming quarters.
