XRP Exchange Outflows Hit Six-Month High as XRPL Activity Explodes

XRP is flashing a potentially bullish mix of on-chain signals. Large amounts of XRP are reportedly leaving major exchanges, while activity on the XRP Ledger has surged sharply. The developments come as XRP attempts to regain momentum after weeks of heavy volatility.

According to market analyst Xaif Crypto, XRP exchange outflows have reached their highest level since February, with significant amounts reportedly pulled from Binance, Coinbase, Upbit and other major exchanges over the past two weeks.

Sustained exchange outflows can be a positive signal because they reduce the amount of XRP readily available for immediate selling, illustrating an elevated holding or hodling culture.

Why is this the case? Well, coins leaving exchanges is deemed bullish since they are transferred to cold storage or digital wallets for future purposes other than speculation, slashing selling pressure.

XRPL Active Addresses Soar 659%

The XRP Ledger is also seeing a dramatic spike in activity.

Data from on-chain analytics platform Santiment shows that XRPL active addresses skyrocketed by 659% in just three days, rising from roughly 47,180 to 358,330.

The explosive increase points to a sharp rise in wallet activity as XRP regains market attention.

More importantly, the surge comes alongside heightened trading activity, suggesting that interest in XRP is extending beyond price speculation.

However, active-address growth does not automatically equal new adoption. The metric can rise because of transfers, trading activity, automated transactions and other forms of network usage. Whether the increase remains elevated in the coming days will be a major talking point.

On the other hand, crypto exchange Gemini has opened the door for direct XRP Ledger deposits and withdrawals in Singapore, boosting XRP access, utility, and adoption across Asia.

$12.5B Spot Volume Adds to the Momentum

XRP is also attracting traders as spot trading volume climbs above $12.5 billion. With market participation accelerating, analysts are now watching potential upside targets around $1.79, $2.58 and $2.89, assuming XRP can break through key resistance levels.

Therefore, these signals paint an increasingly interesting picture whereby exchange balances are falling, XRPL activity is exploding, and spot-market volume is surging.

If these trends continue, XRP could have stronger support for a sustained recovery. For now, the biggest picture is whether the massive exchange outflows and 659% increase in active addresses are the beginning of a lasting shift or simply a short-lived burst of activity.
