Bloom Energy stock has stepped up as one of 2026’s standout AI infrastructure trades, with shares more than doubling this year as investors see the fuel-cell company as a solution to one of artificial intelligence’s biggest bottlenecks: electricity.
Bloom Energy (NYSE: BE) closed at $204.02 on Aug. 24, around 40% below its June record high of $351.28. Despite that sharp pullback, the stock is still up roughly 135% in 2026, thanks to investor enthusiasm around soaring demand from AI data centers.

Why Is Bloom Energy Stock Rising?
The central reason behind Bloom Energy stock’s rally is the expansion of AI infrastructure. Bloom manufactures solid oxide fuel-cell systems that are capable of providing onsite electricity without waiting years for new grid connections. That speed has become very valuable as hyperscalers and AI companies struggle to secure enough power for new data centers.
The company’s financial results show just how quickly that demand is translating into sales. Second-quarter revenue surged 166% year over year to a record $1.07 billion, while product revenue jumped 215%. Bloom also swung to $182.2 million in operating income and raised its 2026 revenue forecast to between $3.9 billion and $4.2 billion.

CEO KR Sridhar said Bloom’s systems have now been approved by all major US hyperscalers, alongside more than a dozen neocloud, AI lab and colocation customers.
New AI Deals Keep Adding Fuel
Recent announcements strengthened the growth story even more. On Aug. 13, Nvidia-backed Nebius revealed that Bloom Energy technology was selected to provide behind-the-meter power for its planned 300-megawatt AI data center in New Jersey. This quickly helped send BE shares higher.
Bloom also expanded its partnership with MiTAC in August, bringing its AI infrastructure segment to nearly two dozen customers and approximately 250 MW of capacity.
Then on Aug. 19, Bloom launched Power Connect, which the company says can reduce onsite power installation time by more than 40%.
Perhaps the biggest catalyst is still Bloom’s expanded partnership with Brookfield. In June, the companies increased their AI infrastructure financing framework from $5 billion to $25 billion to help fund larger deployments of Bloom’s technology.
Can Bloom Energy Stock Keep Climbing?
Wall Street is very optimistic, but valuation is becoming a bigger concern after the stock’s enormous run. Analysts currently have an average price target of about $275, although individual targets vary widely.
For Bloom Energy stock to regain its highs, investors will likely want evidence that its expanding AI pipeline continues turning into revenue, profits and cash flow. If the AI data-center power shortage persists, Bloom is positioned directly in the path of one of the sector’s biggest infrastructure challenges.
