XRP Holds Above $1 for a Record 627 Days as XRPL Nears 2 Million Daily Transactions
XRP is quietly making history. While its price has traded within a relatively tight range, the digital asset has now achieved something it never has before: 627 consecutive daily closes above the key $1 level.
According to on-chain data from MSB Intel, XRP has held above $1 longer than at any point in its history. CoinCodex data shows the token trading at $1.05 at the time of writing, extending the historic streak even further.
The achievement is more significant than the price alone. In previous market cycles, XRP briefly climbed above $1 before sharp selloffs erased those gains. This time, the former resistance level has transformed into long-term support for well over a year, signaling stronger market conviction and a more mature price structure.
Extended consolidation periods often precede major market moves. Instead of experiencing extreme volatility, XRP has spent months building a solid base as buyers and sellers continue to exchange significant volume within a defined range.
Why does this matter? Well, prolonged accumulation has historically laid the groundwork for powerful directional moves.
XRPL Nears 2 Million Daily Transactions — Is a Massive Breakout Brewing?
The XRP Ledger's network activity reinforces that narrative. According to market analyst MRCΛULIMΛN, the XRPL processed 1,988,188 transactions over the past 24 hours, underscoring sustained real-world usage despite muted price action.
During the same period, the network settled 373,049 payments, created 1,087 new accounts, and closed 11,607 ledgers. Ledger close times remained consistently between 3.86 and 3.88 seconds, highlighting XRPL's ability to maintain fast, reliable performance under steady demand.
Ripple's dollar-backed stablecoin RLUSD is also accelerating ecosystem growth. Approximately $853 million worth of RLUSD now resides on the XRP Ledger, representing nearly 90% of the network's stablecoin liquidity. The expanding supply strengthens XRPL's position in cross-border payments, decentralized finance, and tokenized real-world assets.
Meanwhile, the ledger's deflationary design continues working in the background. More than 14.36 million XRP has been permanently burned through transaction fees, while the base fee remains just 10 drops, preserving XRPL's reputation as one of the fastest and lowest-cost blockchain networks.
Further protocol upgrades are also awaiting validator approval, signaling that the ecosystem continues to evolve.
On the other hand, Binance's XRP realized volatility has dropped to its lowest level in three months, suggesting the market has entered a period of compressed price action. Historically, such low-volatility phases have often preceded significant price expansion as supply and demand move out of balance.
What’s happening under the hood? Well, XRP's record 627-day streak above $1, nearly 2 million daily transactions, rising RLUSD adoption, resilient on-chain fundamentals, and declining volatility point to an ecosystem steadily strengthening beneath the surface.
Whether this historic accumulation ultimately leads to the next major breakout remains uncertain, but one thing is becoming increasingly evident: while the price has been relatively quiet, the XRP Ledger has continued to expand, process value at scale, and strengthen its long-term foundation.
