Bitcoin Price Rebounds Toward $65K After Qatar Reveals US-Iran Deal Draft

Bitcoin price rebounds toward $64,000 after Qatar says US-Iran deal proposals are circulating, while traders monitor key resistance near $65,000.

Bitcoin Price Rebounds Toward $65K After Qatar Reveals US-Iran Deal Draft

Bitcoin price moved back toward $64,000 on Wednesday as traders reacted to diplomatic activity involving the United States and Iran. Qatar said mediators were exchanging draft proposals aimed at restarting negotiations and easing tensions around the Strait of Hormuz. BTC recovered from the $62,400–$62,500 support area and traded near $63,960 during the session.

However, Qatari officials cautioned that no final agreement or clear timetable had been confirmed. Trading activity focused on whether Bitcoin could convert the rebound into a breakout above nearby resistance.

Bitcoin Price Recovers Above $64,000

Bitcoin price rose from an intraday low near $63,293 to about $64,438 before easing slightly. The recovery followed renewed buying after the cryptocurrency weakened earlier in the day. BTC traded above $64,300 at the time of reporting, leaving the market within reach of the $65,000 level.

The move also restored part of the losses recorded during the previous decline. Buyers held the price above $63,500 during later trading, while short-term candles formed higher lows. Bitcoin then entered a consolidation range between $63,500 and $64,000 as traders assessed the strength of the recovery.

Immediate resistance sits near $64,000, where previous attempts to extend the rally faced selling pressure. A confirmed move above that area could open a path toward $65,000. However, another rejection could direct the price back toward the support levels tested earlier Tuesday.

Qatar Says Draft Proposals Are Circulating

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed Al-Ansari, said diplomatic contacts had reached advanced stages. He said Qatar, Pakistan, and Oman were coordinating efforts and exchanging draft proposals between Washington and Tehran. The discussions focus on restoring negotiations and reducing the risk of another military escalation.

Al-Ansari also said mediators had not secured a final agreement. No confirmed timetable for completing the process was available. Qatar has called for renewed negotiations, a ceasefire, and the restoration of normal shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran has denied that direct negotiations with the United States are underway. Iranian officials said their current discussions are with Oman and concern shipping access through Hormuz. This difference between public statements has kept the diplomatic process uncertain despite reports of progress from regional mediators.

Hormuz Talks Guide Market Sentiment

The Strait of Hormuz is central to the negotiations. The route normally carries about one-fifth of global oil and liquefied natural gas shipments. Traffic through the waterway has stayed heavily restricted during the conflict, while shipping risks have continued.

Oil prices moved lower after Qatar reported progress in the mediation process. Brent crude extended its decline as traders assessed whether an agreement could restore maritime traffic. The price move reduced some concerns surrounding energy supplies and inflation.

Bitcoin’s recovery occurred during the same period, although cryptocurrency prices respond to several market factors. These include liquidity conditions, derivatives positioning, spot demand, and technical levels. The diplomatic announcement added another catalyst while BTC was already testing a key support area.

Bitcoin Faces Resistance Below $65,000

Meanwhile, Bitcoin faces immediate resistance at $65,000. Earlier rallies stalled near $64,000, making that level the first barrier for buyers. A sustained breakout could bring $65,000 into focus and expose liquidity positioned above that price.

On the downside, $63,500 is the nearest short-term support following the rebound. A break below that level could return attention to $62,500 and $62,400, where buyers entered earlier. The intraday low near $63,293 also provides a reference level for traders monitoring price direction.

Bitcoin’s next move depends on whether buyers clear resistance while mediators report verifiable progress in the negotiations.
