Ripple's RLUSD Records Landmark July With Ripple Mint, AI Payments, and Major Exchange Listings
Ripple's dollar-backed stablecoin, RLUSD, delivered one of its strongest months to date, marked by major product launches, strategic partnerships, new exchange listings, and growing institutional adoption.
Ripple's Senior Vice President of Stablecoins, Jack McDonald, described July as a busy month for the RLUSD, underscoring the rapid momentum behind RLUSD as it continues to expand across enterprise finance and blockchain-powered payments.
A key highlight was the launch of Ripple Mint, a unified platform that enables institutions to mint, redeem, manage, and access RLUSD through a single dashboard or API. Built for banks, payment providers, fintechs, and corporate treasury teams, the platform simplifies stablecoin issuance, liquidity management, and treasury operations, making enterprise adoption more seamless.
Ripple also strengthened RLUSD's institutional footprint through its investment in Notabene, with plans to integrate the stablecoin into Notabene's B2B payments network, which processes more than $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume.
Well, the integration is expected to give financial institutions and payment providers a compliant, blockchain-based settlement option for cross-border payments at scale.
RLUSD Expands Across Exchanges, AI Payments, and Institutional Finance
Enterprise utility expanded further as Nuvion integrated RLUSD into its global banking and cross-border payments platform. The move allows businesses to transition seamlessly between traditional banking infrastructure and blockchain payment rails while improving settlement speed, liquidity, and treasury efficiency, reinforcing RLUSD's role as an enterprise-grade settlement asset.
RLUSD also broadened its global availability with listings on Mobee, Korbit, Upbit Global, and Bithumb, significantly increasing access for users, particularly in South Korea, one of the world's most active digital asset markets. Greater exchange availability is expected to strengthen both liquidity and adoption.
Beyond traditional finance, Ripple advanced RLUSD's role in the emerging AI economy by launching its AI Starter Kit, enabling x402-powered payments with XRP and RLUSD. The toolkit allows autonomous AI agents to pay for APIs, cloud computing, and other digital services, positioning RLUSD for the rapidly evolving machine-to-machine payments landscape.
Meanwhile, Binance, Bybit, and OKX introduced new reward programs for RLUSD holders, encouraging broader participation and liquidity.
Ripple also deepened its collaboration with BNY Mellon, which recently tested after-hours U.S. Treasury settlement backed by RLUSD reserves, highlighting the stablecoin's potential to support round-the-clock institutional financial markets.
Why does this matter? Well, July's milestones demonstrate that RLUSD is rapidly evolving beyond a conventional dollar-backed stablecoin. Through enterprise infrastructure, institutional partnerships, AI-powered payments, and expanding global accessibility, Ripple is positioning RLUSD as a core settlement asset for the next generation of digital finance.
