XRP at a Make-or-Break Moment as $1.08 Support Faces Critical Test
XRP is nearing a vital moment, with market analyst Diana identifying $1.08 as the key support that could determine the token's next major move.
Trading at $1.10, according to CoinCodex, XRP has so far held above this critical level as buyers continue absorbing mounting selling pressure.
Despite that defense, the short-term technical outlook remains fragile. On the four-hour chart, XRP is still trading below a cluster of key moving averages between $1.11 and $1.12, signaling that bears remain in control. The top altcoin has also broken below its previous triangle support, weakening the market structure and increasing the need for bulls to reclaim higher levels quickly.
Momentum indicators also favor the bears. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) sits near 39, below its signal line around 45, showing that buying momentum remains weak despite the recent bounce. While the rebound has slowed the decline, it has yet to confirm a meaningful trend reversal.
XRP Enters High-Stakes Zone With $1.08 Set to Decide Its Next Trend
According to Diana, XRP now faces two clear paths. If bulls successfully defend $1.08 and reclaim the $1.11-$1.12 resistance zone, bullish momentum could strengthen, opening the door to $1.145, then $1.20.
A sustained breakout above those levels would shift attention to the major resistance between $1.29 and $1.30, potentially marking the start of a broader recovery.
However, losing $1.08 could trigger a sharp selloff. Diana expects a breakdown to send XRP toward $0.91, with stronger macro support near $0.86, a decline of roughly 21% from current prices. That makes the $1.08 level the most important support traders are watching.
The technical uncertainty stands in contrast to XRP's improving fundamentals. The asset has benefited from regulatory progress, growing institutional adoption, continued Ripple ecosystem expansion, and more than $1 billion in spot XRP ETF inflows. Even so, XRP remains well below its 2025 highs, leaving investors questioning why those bullish developments have yet to drive a sustained rally.
Longer term, optimism remains intact. A veteran market analyst recently suggested XRP's macro breakout retest could eventually fuel a rally toward $6.40, with an ambitious $30 target still possible if broader market conditions remain favorable.
For now, though, all eyes are on $1.08. Whether bulls defend that level or bears break it is likely to determine XRP's next major move.
