XRP Ledger Surges Ahead in Real-World Asset Race as Institutions Embrace Tokenization

The battle to dominate real-world asset (RWA) tokenization is intensifying, and the XRP Ledger (XRPL) is quickly emerging as a major force in bringing traditional finance onto blockchain networks.

According to data from RWA.xyz, XRPL has recorded stronger net inflows for non-stablecoin real-world assets than several leading blockchain networks, signaling growing institutional adoption of blockchain-based financial infrastructure.

XRPL outpaced Ethereum, which attracted around $1.6 billion in non-stablecoin RWA inflows, while Stellar followed with approximately $1.4 billion. Other major networks, including BNB Chain and Solana, also posted significant inflows at roughly $848 million and $611 million respectively.

Well, there is more than meets the eye since this growing momentum highlights a major shift in the crypto industry as institutions increasingly embrace tokenization to transform traditional markets. Assets such as government bonds, treasuries, private credit, and real estate are being moved on-chain to unlock faster settlement, greater transparency, lower costs, and 24/7 access to financial products.

More notably, XRPL’s rise in this sector is largely driven by its focus on institutional-grade performance, offering fast transactions, low fees, and a scalable infrastructure designed for financial applications.

Unlike legacy systems restricted by banking hours and intermediaries, blockchain networks allow assets to be issued, transferred, and settled continuously.

XRPL Strengthens Its Position as a Leading Force in Real-World Asset Tokenization

Currently, XRPL supports about $368 million in fully on-chain real-world assets and represents more than $3.5 billion in total tokenized assets.

A significant portion comes from Justoken’s green financing token, valued at roughly $2.23 billion, which connects sustainable finance initiatives with blockchain technology.

Another key contributor is Ondo Finance, with its tokenized U.S. Treasury products representing approximately $259 million in assets. These offerings provide investors access to traditional financial instruments while leveraging blockchain’s efficiency and accessibility.

What’s the takeaway? Well, XRPL’s growth reflects a broader evolution in blockchain adoption. The industry is transitioning toward building the infrastructure needed for a new financial system where real-world assets can be digitized, exchanged, and managed more efficiently.

As institutions explore tokenizing trillions of dollars in global assets, XRPL’s combination of speed, cost efficiency, and financial-focused design positions it as a serious contender in the future of digital markets.

The network’s expansion is also reaching beyond tokenization. Bitso recently chose XRPL to support its stablecoin infrastructure, strengthening the ledger’s role in enabling faster and more efficient cross-border payments.

With traditional finance increasingly merging with blockchain technology, the race for RWA dominance is just getting started, and XRPL is proving it has the infrastructure to compete at the highest level.
