The Truth Behind XRP’s $50 Gemini Candle: Real Trade, Thin Liquidity, Big Lessons 

In August 2023, XRP briefly printed near $50 on Gemini, a move that sparked immediate controversy across crypto markets. 

According to computer engineer Charusan XRP, it wasn’t a 

, it was a real trade print caused by extreme liquidity imbalance, in other words it was a catastrophic slippage.

On an exchange like Gemini, price is not fixed; it is built from stacked buy and sell orders. 

As a result, a market buy order doesn’t pick a price, rather it sweeps through available sell orders from the lowest upward. When 

During the XRP relisting period, the order book reportedly had very few sell orders placed near market levels, leaving large price gaps. 

As buy pressure entered, it quickly consumed available liquidity and kept climbing the book until it hit an isolated outlier sell order around $50. This single execution briefly printed at that level. Reported estimates suggest it took roughly $37,000 in aggressive buying to trigger the move.

Why the $50 XRP Candle Was a Liquidity Event, Not a Valuation Signal 

The Gemini episode highlights a core market microstructure reality that in shallow order books, even modest volume can create extreme price dislocations. However, this does not reflect XRP’s fair value, it reflects execution conditions on a single venue at a specific moment.

Some market narratives extend this into claims that institutions must pre-fund massive XRP liquidity pools to function at scale. 

In practice, large players typically avoid exposed exchange order books altogether, instead routing flows through OTC desks, internal liquidity networks, market makers, and off-exchange settlement systems designed to minimize slippage risk.

What the Gemini print actually shows is that even fragmented liquidity can distort price discovery in dramatic ways, especially on thinly populated books. It is a mechanics problem, not a valuation signal.

Meanwhile, XRP price action continues to compress, with a

Nvidia delivered another historic quarter

, reporting record revenue of $81.6 billion for fiscal Q1 2027 even as CEO Jensen Huang 

 the company has largely lost China’s advanced AI chip market to Huawei.

The statement marked one of Huang’s clearest acknowledgments yet that U.S. export restrictions helped accelerate China’s domestic AI chip ecosystem. Huawei, in particular, has rapidly expanded its AI hardware and software platforms while Nvidia’s access to the market became increasingly limited.

Despite that setback, Nvidia’s business continues growing at extraordinary speed.

According to the company’s latest earnings report, quarterly revenue surged 85% year over year to $81.6 billion, while Data Center revenue alone climbed 92% to $75.2 billion. Analysts had expected roughly $78.8 billion in sales, meaning Nvidia once again exceeded Wall Street forecasts.

AI Infrastructure Is Replacing Nvidia’s Gaming Empire

The latest earnings also revealed how dramatically Nvidia’s business model has changed during the AI boom.

For years, Nvidia was best known for GeForce gaming GPUs. Now, gaming hardware is becoming a much smaller piece of the company’s overall strategy.

Nvidia recently reorganized its reporting structure around two main platforms: Data Center and Edge Computing. The Edge Computing division includes gaming PCs, consoles, robotics, automotive systems, and workstations, generating $6.4 billion in quarterly revenue.

Nvidia No Longer Reports Gaming GPU Revenue Separately

One of the biggest surprises in the report was Nvidia’s decision to stop reporting GeForce gaming GPU sales as a standalone segment.

Earlier in 2026, gaming revenue was still disclosed separately and generated roughly $3.7 billion. Now the category has been folded into broader divisions, highlighting how AI infrastructure has become the company’s overwhelming priority.

The shift reflects a larger transformation happening across the semiconductor industry. Nvidia is no longer primarily a gaming company — it has become the central supplier of AI infrastructure powering cloud providers, enterprise AI systems, and next-generation data centers.

Jensen Huang recently said Nvidia sees at least a $1 trillion AI infrastructure opportunity through 2027, driven by exploding demand for agentic AI systems and large-scale computing deployments.

Huawei’s Rise Shows China’s AI Industry Is Becoming Independent

Huang’s comments also highlight how quickly China’s AI ecosystem is becoming less dependent on Western technology.

As Nvidia focuses on markets where it can continue unrestricted expansion, Chinese companies are accelerating investment into domestic semiconductors, AI accelerators, and local software ecosystems.

Huawei appears to be one of the biggest winners from that shift.

For Nvidia, however, global AI demand remains strong enough to offset those losses for now. The company forecast another massive quarter ahead, projecting revenue of around $91 billion for fiscal Q2 2027.

The bigger question for investors is whether Nvidia can maintain its dominance long term as China builds a competing AI ecosystem outside of Nvidia’s control.

Dogecoin is pressing against a key resistance zone after forming another rounded base on the weekly chart. Traders are watching whether DOGE can break its descending trendline and hold above the $0.10 to $0.11 area

Dogecoin Price Setup Points to Meme Coin Breakout

Dogecoin is holding near a long term horizontal support area after months of sideways price action. The chart shared by TraderSZ on X compares the current DOGE structure with an earlier breakout pattern that led to a sharp rally.

The main level is the yellow support line near the lower range. DOGE has returned to that zone several times, but sellers have not pushed price far below it. That shows the market is still defending the base.

The chart also shows a descending resistance line above the current structure. DOGE needs to break that line before the setup can confirm a stronger move. Until then, the chart remains in consolidation.

TraderSZ’s point is that DOGE may be repeating a similar pattern from the previous cycle. The earlier setup showed a long base, a breakout, and then a larger move higher. The current chart now shows another base with price sitting under trendline resistance.

If DOGE breaks above the descending line, the first major area to watch would be the previous local high zone. A stronger breakout could then open the way toward the blue target area shown on the chart.

However, the support line still matters first. If Dogecoin loses that base, the bullish meme coin setup weakens. For now, DOGE needs a clean breakout before the larger meme coin run case becomes stronger.

Dogecoin Price Tests 3 Month Resistance as DOGE Setup Points Higher

Dogecoin is testing a key 3 month resistance zone after forming another rounded bottom on the weekly chart. The chart shared by Moe on X shows DOGE holding above its recent base while price pushes back into the same resistance area that mattered before the late 2024 rally.

The setup compares the current DOGE structure with the earlier bottom formed in 2024. Back then, Dogecoin built a base, reclaimed resistance, and moved sharply higher afterward. Moe suggests the current structure could follow a similar path if DOGE keeps holding above the breakout area.

The green resistance band sits around the $0.10 to $0.11 area. DOGE has already moved into that zone, but the chart shows price still needs stronger follow through to confirm a clean breakout.

The “no upper wick” note points to a weekly candle structure where sellers did not strongly reject the move from the top. That can show stronger buyer control, especially if the next candles continue to hold above the same zone.

The lower support area now matters because DOGE recently broke above it and retested it. If price holds that level, the chart keeps the bullish structure active. A loss of that support would weaken the setup and put the recent bottom back in focus.

For now, DOGE sits at an important decision point. A clean weekly hold above the 3 month resistance could strengthen the case for a larger move higher, while rejection from the same zone would keep Dogecoin inside its broader range.

CLARITY Act Gains Steam as XRP Supporters Hail Major Regulatory Breakthroughs 

The Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act moved 

 to becoming U.S. law this week after the Senate Banking Committee advanced the bill in a 15-9 vote, setting the stage for a potential full Senate vote in the coming months. 

Although the bill addresses the wider crypto sector, parts of it are being hailed within the XRP community as potentially pivotal for Ripple, XRP, and the evolution of blockchain finance in the United States.

 four key sections that supporters say could significantly influence XRP’s regulatory clarity, institutional adoption, and long-term utility.

XRP Community Sees Sections 105 and 110 as Potential Regulatory Turning Point for XRP in the U.S. 

 is Section 105, which XRP supporters see as the most significant win since Judge Analisa Torres ruled in the 

 that XRP’s secondary market sales are not securities transactions.

The proposed legislation would go a step further by embedding that interpretation into federal law, strengthening XRP’s legal standing beyond a single court ruling. 

Unlike judicial decisions, which can be challenged or revisited, statutory protection would offer a more stable and lasting framework for exchanges, investors, and institutions engaging with XRP.

Many in the community say the provision could help unwind years of uncertainty that followed the SEC’s aggressive enforcement era against digital assets. 

If enacted, Section 105 may open the door to wider exchange participation, deeper liquidity, and stronger institutional confidence in XRP markets.

Attention is also shifting to Section 110, which introduces a “mature blockchain” test. Supporters argue the 

 would qualify immediately, pointing to its long operating history, decentralized validator structure, and more than a decade of uninterrupted performance. Over this period, it has processed millions of transactions globally while maintaining consistent reliability.

Therefore, under this framework, XRP would most likely be classified as a digital commodity under the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), rather than being regulated as a security by the SEC.

For XRP supporters, this shift is significant. Commodity status is generally seen as a more flexible regulatory approach, emphasizing market oversight and fair trading practices instead of the stricter issuer disclosure rules tied to securities law.

Many investors argue this change could help lift one of the key uncertainties that has constrained XRP’s growth in the U.S. since the SEC case began in 2020.

CLARITY Act Sections 401 and 404: A Potential Breakthrough for Ripple’s Institutional Vision and XRP Integration in U.S. Banking 

Section 401 is widely seen as a potential turning point for Ripple’s enterprise strategy.

It explicitly allows U.S. banks and credit unions to handle digital assets for payments, custody, settlement, and clearing. For the 

, this creates a clear pathway for Ripple’s cross-border payment infrastructure to integrate more deeply into the American banking system.

Unlike many crypto projects driven primarily by retail speculation, Ripple has consistently positioned itself as an infrastructure provider focused on institutional payment rails. 

Clearer authorization for banks to adopt blockchain-based settlement systems would significantly reinforce Ripple’s appeal to traditional financial institutions seeking faster, cheaper cross-border transactions.

Furthermore, Section 404 zeroes in on payment stablecoins, with direct implications for RLUSD, Ripple’s stablecoin initiative.

It would restrict passive yield on stablecoin balances held on exchanges, while still permitting activity-based incentives like governance rewards and loyalty-style programs. Supporters say this approach offers a more defined compliance 

, potentially easing its integration across U.S. exchanges and payment networks.

Therefore, many in the XRP community see the CLARITY Act as more than routine regulation; it signals a potential alignment of legal clarity, institutional acceptance, and infrastructure readiness for XRP within the U.S. financial system.

What’s next? Well, the CLARITY Act still awaits a full Senate vote, followed by reconciliation with the House version and, ultimately, a presidential decision. Even so, the XRP community is already treating its progress as one of the most consequential regulatory developments in years.

U.S. stocks ended Friday under pressure as investors cooled on the market’s recent tech-driven run. Reuters reported that the S&P 500 fell 1.1%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 0.8% to 0.9%, and the Nasdaq dropped about 1.4% to 1.6% as rising Treasury yields and higher oil prices hit sentiment.

The move came just a day after a strong session in which the Dow reclaimed the 50,000 level and the S&P 500 pushed above 7,500 for the first time. Reuters and market data showed the Dow closed Thursday at 50,063.46, while the S&P 500 remained near record territory after a powerful multi-day advance.

The biggest pressure came from the same names that had been driving the rally higher. Reuters said rising yields tested the AI-fueled trade, while traders also reacted to renewed inflation worries and a jump in oil prices, which tends to complicate the outlook for growth stocks.

Several headline stocks tied to the market’s recent momentum also cooled. In recent sessions, traders had been focused on megacap tech and semiconductor names, with Nvidia and other AI-linked stocks helping push the S&P 500 and Nasdaq to record highs earlier in the week. 

Equally important, the Dow’s ability to stay above 50,000 remains a major sentiment marker for the broader market.

A notable feature of Friday’s move was that the broader market was not falling evenly. Some smaller-cap names held up better than the mega-cap growth trade, with the Russell 2000 showing relative strength even as the major indexes slipped. That kind of rotation often signals investors are becoming more selective rather than abandoning equities altogether.

The market’s tone also shifted after a week of optimism tied to U.S.-China trade headlines and continued enthusiasm for artificial intelligence. Still, the latest pullback suggests traders are paying closer attention to bond yields, inflation pressure, and whether the rally has outrun near-term fundamentals.

For now, the message is straightforward: the uptrend is still alive, but it is becoming less one-way. If yields keep climbing, the market may need a deeper reset before the next leg higher. If they stabilize, the S&P 500 and Dow could quickly regain their footing.
