Bitcoin 2022 opens with Anthony “Pomp” Pompliano and Mike Novogratz on the main stage. Other guests expected on the first day include crypto and privacy advocate Matt Odell and Olaoluwa Osuntokun, co-founder of Lightning Labs. Topics will include crypto adoption and institutional onboarding.
Besides Pomp and Novogratz, the event will see dozens of high-profile speakers, including El Salvador president Nayib Bukele, MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor, and Serena Williams. Others include human rights activists, CEOs of FinTech companies, and Bitcoin advocates.
Apart from talks and Q&As, Bitcoin 2022 will feature hundreds of crypto companies from over 40 countries, as well as after parties, an art gallery and a peer-to-peer Bitcoin bazaar with everything from antiques and clothing to electronics seed phrase solutions.
There’s also a volcano.
It's not a coincidence that Bitcoin 2022 is held in Miami. In recent years, the city has earned the reputation of a crypto hub, with many local businesses accepting payment in Bitcoin and Mayor Francis Suarez pushing for Bitcoin adoption. Suarez spoke at Bitcoin 2021. He also made an appearance this year.
