Wilder World has unveiled a new first-person shooter (FPS) mode at Gamescom 2025, marking a significant expansion of its metaverse gaming ecosystem. The launch, developed in collaboration with Samsung, introduces a global tournament with a $100,000 prize pool and offers attendees exclusive in-game content.
FPS Launch Marks New Phase for Wilder World
Following the success of its racing mode, Wilder Wheels, launched in 2024, Wilder World is entering the FPS genre—one of the most-watched and competitive formats in gaming. The new mode is part of Wilder World’s open-world metaverse known as Wiami, powered by Unreal Engine 5 and blockchain infrastructure.
At Gamescom, players will experience the Super Early Access version of the FPS, with qualifiers open from August 25 to September 9. The top players will advance to playoffs from September 10 to 15, with the five finalists flown to a yet-to-be-disclosed venue for the championship on September 24. Travel and accommodations for finalists will be fully covered by Wilder World.
Samsung has also introduced an event-exclusive perk: players attending Gamescom can claim a Samsung-branded POAP NFT by tapping NFC towers at the booth. This collectible is playable within Wilder World.
A Surge in Ecosystem Growth and Token Momentum
The FPS release follows a series of developments that have propelled Wilder World and its native token, WILD, into the spotlight:
Temerario x Lamborghini: The luxury car collaboration saw the NFT collection sell out in under four minutes.
Wiami.fun: A new UGC engine allowing players to design and tokenize custom in-game assets.
Operation Titan: A multi-million-dollar WILD buyback initiative.
Metropolis: A detailed exploration of the Wilder World economic model and lore.
CYPHER: A new funding structure leveraging U.S. Treasury vehicles to scale the ecosystem.
These milestones have helped sustain WILD’s upward momentum, positioning Wilder World as a serious contender among top Web3 games globally.
Blurring the Lines Between Web2 and Web3
Wilder World has consistently ranked among the top 10 most anticipated titles on the Epic Games Store, rivaling mainstream Web2 games. By tapping into the FPS genre, the project aims to serve as a gateway for traditional gamers exploring blockchain-based ownership and digital economies.
“The $100K tournament isn’t just about esports—it’s a statement that Wilder World is operating at the frontier of gaming innovation,” said n3o, Co-Founder and Executive Producer of Wilder World. “Partnering with Samsung at Gamescom shows that Web3 gaming is ready for the mainstream.”
