Volo’s new Bitcoin vaults integrate with NAVI Protocol to unlock high-yield strategies on Sui
Volo, a major liquid staking protocol on the Sui blockchain, has launched the Volo wBTC Vault—a new DeFi product aimed at mobilizing Bitcoin liquidity within the Sui ecosystem. By integrating with NAVI Protocol’s deep lending pools, the vault allows users to access automated, high-yield DeFi strategies through a single click.
Boosting BTC Liquidity on Sui
With over 1,000 BTC in liquidity already present on Sui, the wBTC Vault positions Volo as a key contributor to Sui’s evolution into a Bitcoin-focused DeFi layer. The product supports strategies such as yield optimization and leveraged positions, designed for maximum efficiency and user accessibility.
"BTCfi on Sui transforms Bitcoin from a static asset into a dynamic, programmable force, unlocking unparalleled opportunities for users," said Ben Liu, lead at Volo.
Secure Infrastructure and Ecosystem Integration
Volo’s platform has been audited by Ottersec, Movebit, and Hacken, reinforcing its commitment to security. The protocol currently holds $50 million in total value locked (TVL) through its vSUI liquid staking token.
Incubated by NAVI Labs and backed by investors such as OKX Ventures, Hashed, and dao5, Volo continues to develop products that enhance user participation in DeFi. The Volo Hub suite enables users to stake SUI while maintaining liquidity through vSUI tokens.
Sui's Growing Role in BTCfi
Sui has rapidly emerged as a promising environment for BTCfi (Bitcoin DeFi), with Bitcoin liquidity now accounting for more than 10% of the network’s total TVL. The chain’s validator-secured infrastructure and native bridge offer a blend of decentralization, low fees, and fast execution, further solidifying its role in the expanding Bitcoin DeFi landscape.
“NAVI’s scalable infrastructure makes it the ideal home for BTCfi, enabling Volo to deliver intuitive, high-yield solutions that empower every user,” said Elliscope Fang, NAVI co-founder.
Next Steps: Expanding DeFi Access
Looking ahead, Volo plans to broaden its vault offerings to include additional Bitcoin variants, stablecoins, and altcoins—further improving capital efficiency and enhancing the DeFi experience on Sui.
